Tablescape Preview with Daffodils!

I'm joining Marty at A Stroll thru Life for Tabletop Tuesday. It's my first time to participate. My contribution is a preview of the table I set for this week's Tablescape Thursday with Susan of Between Naps on the Porch. It's a table for two set in the entry hall on an occasional table that normally resides in the den. The china, silver, and glassware are all vintage.

The daffodils are finally beginning to bloom in West Tennessee! I picked the first four for this post. I hope you enjoy seeing them, and I hope I'll see YOU again later this week. There'll be LOTS more pictures to share.

Thank you, Marty, for being such a gracious hostess.
See you again soon!

  1. Oh those flowers make me desperate for spring and warm weather. There is one side of our house where they always pop up in the soft soil, I want so badly to run there right now (in the dark) and see if there is any sign of life here!!

  2. Hi Bill My Friend...
I Love the table setting as always. So beautiful and magical. I love the cuts in the stemware you have shared they are spectacular. Reminds me of fireworks exploding in the sky on the 4th of July.

I do so love the daffodils. How wonderful that you already have some blooming. What are the purple flowers? They look so beautiful the yellow and purple together, and I love the little balls that they are in. (I really have had no luck with bulbs out here in Phoenix. I tried for 3 years, but gave up after no success and I even left them in the ground. They never did a thing. Go figure?)

That's okay I sure am enjoying yours. You are a wonderful host my friend. Thank you for sharing. Have a beautiful Tuesday.

    Country hugs...Sherry

  10. Hey Bill! Wasn't today's weather just perfect?! It got up to 75 degrees here in Dayton :) I love daffodils beacause they remind me of going to my granny's house in the Spring and picking all of her flowers that had bloomed in the yard.

  11. Oh Bill, I can tell I am going to drool over this tablescape. The daffodils are so pretty and I love them in the silver bowls. I look forward to seeing the entire tablescape. Thanks so much for joining the party. This is so much fun. You need to show us some of your other table vignettes too. I see glimpses of them as you show your tablescapes and I know your home is just gorgeous. Hugs, Marty

  13. Ooo...flowers you actually picked, I'm jealous! I love the vases and the way the light is picking up the color in the stemware. Maybe I should open a bottle of wine while I tablescape...it would make it much more fun!

  14. I have those pretty little purple flowers in my flower bed too. I think it's a lotus, but I'm not sure. Do you know? Whatever it is, it looks beautiful on your table!

  17. This was a treat, Bill. I love the lighting, the flash of silver, the soft, tender flowers. We always have a clump of daffodils beside the barn--an old, old farmhouse was here once upon a time--and I will try to pick them before my goats eat 'em up. Thank you for this delightful pick-me-up of a tablescape.

  19. Your tablescapes are the most beautiful I have ever seen Bill! They have such an elegant touch... can you come to my house?? Thanks for sharing your sweet daffodils, they're such a breath of fresh air. Ours in Ohio are peeking through the ground now and hoping there won't be anymore deep snows!

  20. Bill,

Another beautiful setting. The wine, the glasses, the light - most inviting and elegant.

  21. I truly would love a tour of your tabletop collection! You just do the best things -- and I really am loving those little vases -- such a perfect counterpoint to the color in the flowers.

  29. Bill, thank you so much for your gracious comment. You are always so kind and generous. I had a lot of fun with my Southern Country tablescape. I always get inspiration from you, and that's why I decided that Lace and Magnolias could live with a little country. Your tablescapes are always so inventive and so lovely. Thanks again. Hugs, Marty

  30. Bill-Beautiful! I can see how the fabric was a great inspiration piece. For some reason, every time I see your pictures I want to write a short story or novel to go with them---You have a gift. I think I might have to needlepoint a "fast, cheap, and easy" pillow :)
One more thing, doesn't Rogers Intl. have the best names for their patterns?

  31. Hi Bill, you are a master. Your table is charming, you have so many splendid pieces to feast the eyes on. I especially enjoyed your lovely photos. The one looking outside from your table says so much. I would love to be walking up to your home and seeing you in the window at your gorgeous table....so welcoming. Thanks for sharing.
