I'm joining Marty at A Stroll thru Life for Tabletop Tuesday. It's my first time to participate. My contribution is a preview of the table I set for this week's Tablescape Thursday with Susan of Between Naps on the Porch. It's a table for two set in the entry hall on an occasional table that normally resides in the den. The china, silver, and glassware are all vintage.
The daffodils are finally beginning to bloom in West Tennessee! I picked the first four for this post. I hope you enjoy seeing them, and I hope I'll see YOU again later this week. There'll be LOTS more pictures to share.

Oh those flowers make me desperate for spring and warm weather. There is one side of our house where they always pop up in the soft soil, I want so badly to run there right now (in the dark) and see if there is any sign of life here!!
ReplyDeleteHi Bill My Friend...
ReplyDeleteI Love the table setting as always. So beautiful and magical. I love the cuts in the stemware you have shared they are spectacular. Reminds me of fireworks exploding in the sky on the 4th of July.
I do so love the daffodils. How wonderful that you already have some blooming. What are the purple flowers? They look so beautiful the yellow and purple together, and I love the little balls that they are in. (I really have had no luck with bulbs out here in Phoenix. I tried for 3 years, but gave up after no success and I even left them in the ground. They never did a thing. Go figure?)
That's okay I sure am enjoying yours. You are a wonderful host my friend. Thank you for sharing. Have a beautiful Tuesday.
Country hugs...Sherry
Hi Bill, the stemware is so pretty with the etched detail! I wish I could have a sip or two:)
ReplyDeleteEvening, Dear Bill!
ReplyDeleteOh, how lovely! Your stemware is gorgeous and the etching looks like little pops of fireworks!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Beautiful! I love daffodils and miss not having them here in FL! They bring back sweet memories of my childhood in AL!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the rest of the tablescape Thursday!
Katherine

ReplyDeleteA little tease for Thurs?? I will return!
ReplyDeleteNo flowers here yet..I will have to go buy some..
Were your ears ringing? I talked about you in my comment on Laurie's...:)
I can see we won't be having paper plates or styrofoam this week! LOL
Oh I will be back for more photos on Thur. The flowers are so lovely. Amazing how even just a few flowers can make a difference.
ReplyDeleteHey Bill! Wasn't today's weather just perfect?! It got up to 75 degrees here in Dayton :) I love daffodils beacause they remind me of going to my granny's house in the Spring and picking all of her flowers that had bloomed in the yard.
ReplyDeleteOh Bill, I can tell I am going to drool over this tablescape. The daffodils are so pretty and I love them in the silver bowls. I look forward to seeing the entire tablescape. Thanks so much for joining the party. This is so much fun. You need to show us some of your other table vignettes too. I see glimpses of them as you show your tablescapes and I know your home is just gorgeous. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteLovely! Those glasses are gorgeous and I really like how you've displayed the flowers in separate little vases. I can't wait to see your 'scape for TT!
ReplyDeleteDD
Ooo...flowers you actually picked, I'm jealous! I love the vases and the way the light is picking up the color in the stemware. Maybe I should open a bottle of wine while I tablescape...it would make it much more fun!
ReplyDeleteI have those pretty little purple flowers in my flower bed too. I think it's a lotus, but I'm not sure. Do you know? Whatever it is, it looks beautiful on your table!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the final tablescape reveal. I know I won't be disappointed.
ReplyDeleteHi Bill! Our daffodils are blooming too. Spring is definitely here, if not around the corner. Your vignette is stunning!..Christine
ReplyDeleteThis was a treat, Bill. I love the lighting, the flash of silver, the soft, tender flowers. We always have a clump of daffodils beside the barn--an old, old farmhouse was here once upon a time--and I will try to pick them before my goats eat 'em up. Thank you for this delightful pick-me-up of a tablescape.

Your tablescapes are the most beautiful I have ever seen Bill! They have such an elegant touch... can you come to my house?? Thanks for sharing your sweet daffodils, they're such a breath of fresh air. Ours in Ohio are peeking through the ground now and hoping there won't be anymore deep snows!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sherry
Beautiful as always!
ReplyDeleteBill,
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful setting. The wine, the glasses, the light - most inviting and elegant.
Carol
I truly would love a tour of your tabletop collection! You just do the best things -- and I really am loving those little vases -- such a perfect counterpoint to the color in the flowers.

Hi Bill,
ReplyDeleteWelcome! This is my second time...love your stemware. The etching design is beautiful. I love the chargers too. Please take a minute to pop over to my place too. I would love to have you at Terra Del Sole (Land of the Sun). I am you newest follower.
The stemware is so, so pretty! Great to see the spring flowers, too! Love your preview and look forward to Tablescape Thursday!
ReplyDeleteBlessings - Beth
Bill, this is gorgeous. Your photos are absolutely breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteHi Bill...
ReplyDeleteOooh...what a lovely sneak peek! Hehe! I couldn't help but notice those gorgeous silver charger plates...I have been searching for something similar! I'll have to come back to get a full view! Ohhh..I just love the little mercury glass vases that your pretty daffodils are in! Sooo pretty! Thank you for the peek at your lovely table!
Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design
Hi Bill. Love to see the Fostoria Lido etched stemware you bought. It looks great on your table!
ReplyDeletewow, that needs to be featured in a magazine.
ReplyDeleteSimply Stunning~!
Happy Tuesday
Sonny
Bill, my daffodils are struggling through the snow that is still on parts of the ground! But I know they will make it! May I ask if you use a "macro" setting when you take these close up pictures???? The flowers are m,aking me LONG for Spring! Can't wait to see the complete table!!! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteBill, thank you so much for your gracious comment. You are always so kind and generous. I had a lot of fun with my Southern Country tablescape. I always get inspiration from you, and that's why I decided that Lace and Magnolias could live with a little country. Your tablescapes are always so inventive and so lovely. Thanks again. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteBill-Beautiful! I can see how the fabric was a great inspiration piece. For some reason, every time I see your pictures I want to write a short story or novel to go with them---You have a gift. I think I might have to needlepoint a "fast, cheap, and easy" pillow :)
ReplyDeleteOne more thing, doesn't Rogers Intl. have the best names for their patterns?
Breathtaking -- just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Bill, you are a master. Your table is charming, you have so many splendid pieces to feast the eyes on. I especially enjoyed your lovely photos. The one looking outside from your table says so much. I would love to be walking up to your home and seeing you in the window at your gorgeous table....so welcoming. Thanks for sharing.
