Tennessee Williams' tragic heroine, Blanche DuBois, famously said:
"I don't want realism. I want magic! Yes, yes, magic. I try to give that to people. I do misrepresent things. I don't tell truths. I tell what ought to be truth."
A Streetcar Named Desire 1951
Thank you to the enormously talented Julio of Beaux Mondes Designs for helping me put together this short video. If you're a regular reader of Affordable Accoutrements, you've seen the images before. They're tables I've set for you during my first year of blogging and participating in Susan's Tablescape Thursdays at Between Naps on the Porch. Candles are lit in all the photographs. The music is by Johann Sebastian Bach, performed by Camerata Romana, Joze Brezina, and F. Elias.
If you liked the video, I hope you'll visit Julio, sign to follow his beautiful blog, and enjoy the magic he creates and shares. I'm working on a new tablescape for this week (VERY different from the ones in the video!). I'll see you later at Susan's Between Naps on the Porch!
Thank you for stopping by today!

Oh Bill one more reason to love your blog. Gorgeous video.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the shot taken from the outside looking in I think you could see my nose print on the glass as I picture myself at these tables having such fun conversations while eating delicious food and drink.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, only wish I was there to participate in one of the vignettes. We could just eat pimento cheese sandwishes or order in pizza. The food wouldn't matter!!!
ReplyDeleteBill-I can't decide if I feel as if I've been to a wedding, a fabulous dinner party or a church service. The music combined with the elegance of the tables makes for such a wonderful combination. Weren't you just thrilled with the video??

ReplyDeleteBreathtakingly beautiful. Makes me sigh a happy sigh. I'm going to try harder to remember to light the candles. I do love the candlelight; sometimes I just get so busy that halfway through the meal, I realize that I forgot to light them...not the end of the world. Thank you for taking Julio up on his kind offer. He did a magnificent job, and you gave him some incredibly good material. Cherry Kay
