Hi Everyone,
I hope your new year's off to a really good start. Some of you might have noticed that I've been quiet the past couple of weeks. I was out of town for Christmas, came home, headed out to visit antique shops in a neighboring state (fun!), and have been sick (not fun!) with a particularly nasty cold/flu-like bug since returning.
Between the holidays and being sick, I've found myself behind on some crucial work projects. Therefore, sadly, blogging has to take a back seat for a while.
Thank you so much for your visits, kind comments, and e-mails. I'll be back as soon as possible. In the meanwhile, have fun and stay safe and well!
Kindest regards,

ReplyDeleteSometimes life does get in the way of blogging. But most important, get better. Blogging can wait.

Bill, I know the feeling. Reality requires attention sometimes! See you when things are settled down again! xo Terri
ReplyDeleteBill-Hope you had wonderful holidays and are feeling better! I have been taking a break too--both sons got engaged and our daughter is expecting our first grandchild !!!! It is crazy, happy, busy here! Hope we can all get caught up with each other soon. Take care!
ReplyDeleteWe are just now recovering from that nasty bug. It has taken our energy, slowing our 60 something bodies even slower than usual.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself, Bill. I'll miss you and look forward to your return.
January is a slow month anyway. So, take care, get well, and get busy. Now I need to take that last bit and do it myself! ♥♫
ReplyDeleteBill, hope you are feeling better soon. We will miss you and look forward to your return. Take care of yourself. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteOh, Bill! I figured you had been enjoying the holidays, but I'm sorry to hear you've been so sick. I've had that same thing. I missed Christmas and New Year's, both. Sigh. I finally got out yesterday for the first time in three weeks, so I can commiserate with you. Hope you are feeling much better soon, my friend. We have missed you, but we're keeping the light on for you...
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
Enjoy your rest....and get better soon!!! I do hope you will truly take time for a rest and not work the whole time. (I made that mistake...and the "bug" lasted a lot longer than usual.)
ReplyDeleteWe will all miss you and anticipate your quick recovery and return.
Jane (artfully graced)
Glad you had a good holiday. Now rest and take care of yourself. You deserve a break. Hope you feel better soon.

Bill, when you don't post, a very big void fills your followers that week. Do I need to bring a big swatter over to kill that nasty old cold/flu bug? Take care, Stella B.
ReplyDeleteTake care! I was thinking of you this week as I and my hubby were eating off of some white plates from Germany that you had sent us quite some time ago. We suffered over the holidays with some stomach bug ...so I know what it feels to be sick at this time of the year!
ReplyDeleteFeel better, Bill. The grinch left me a terrible virus too!
ReplyDeleteSee you when you get back up to speed!
Sorry to hear you've been ill, Bill! Hope you're feeling better soon and I'm sending you some virtual chicken soup! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Glad you had a good Christmas, sorry you've been ill (hope you're fully recovered now). Looking forward to your 'return'!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and yours a happy and healthy 2011.

Get well soon Bill. Yes you have been missed. We noticed a definite lack of gorgeous showing up on our blog readers.
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard to keep up blogs when working and if you are under the weather it is even harder.
Hi Bill, hope you are feeling better soon. I had that crud in Nov. and it took a month to really feel better. We will be needing a tablescape fix soon, just hope you feel like giving us some valentine ideas. Happy New Year, get well soon.
ReplyDeleteI sure wondered where on earth you were hiding! Figured you were probably off doing fabulous things and getting fantastic thrift/estate sale finds! Sounds like that was part of the deal, but the cold/flu was not part of the scenario in my mind. So sorry to hear you've been out of sorts and hope you are back in the pink now. Looking forward to your new 'scapes in the new year!
ReplyDeleteJust concerned because we hadn't heard from you.. but first and foremost, be better. blogging can wait.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better soon Bill!
ReplyDelete~Blessings~

Yes, dear Bro, I HAVE been wondering what the hell you were doing, but I thought you were just having fun travelling or having visitors or something. Had no idea you weren't feeling well... If misery loves company, I've not been feeling great myself - once you get a 'bug' it seems like FOREVER to get rid of it, so I hear you. Feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Gloria
Hurry back beautiful Bill!!

I miss you already and I just found your site!
ReplyDeleteI have been collecting wine glasses, china, etc for years and considering editing my collection. I love them all and it is so difficult to decide what to get rid of ;(
My Question to you - Where and how do you store all of your wonderful collection of glasses, china, decorations?
Hope you are feeling better soon.
Cheers
Kim
Very Nice!
ReplyDeleteGlad I found your blog!!

Missing you!!!!....Hope you are feeling better...snap out of it and set us a tablescape already!!!!....
ReplyDeleteokay bill...everyone deserves a little off time. and i realize your off time is probably not being spent lollygagging. but i'm going through some serious 'gorgeous tablescaping' withdrawal. feel better, catch up on your work, and come back to us soon. please.
ReplyDeleteHi Bill,
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better and get caught up with your work projects soon!
Hope you had a nice Christmas and the new year treats you kindly!
I took a long blogger break and almost didn't come back! I remembered my daughter's tablescape and posted it this past week. I asked for possible help with identifying the crystal (from 1960) and was hoping you might recognize it. When you have time, please take a look at it. Thanks so much!
You are missed! Enjoy your break!

Hi Bill, I had a nasty bug following the Christmas holidays as well. Hope you're feeling better and will be back soon. You are missed!
ReplyDeleteBill, I feel ya! Blogging has been something I've been trying to catch up on and just can't quite yet. You feel better and can't wait to see more your gorgeous displays!
ReplyDeleteI've been MIA in the blogosphere as well. Hopefully your cold/flu is over now and you are back to being on task. I look forward to your speedy return and your new creations.
ReplyDeleteDropping by, Bill, to say that I hope and pray you are feeling better. Miss you! Not trying to guilt trip you into coming back, but the blog world light always shines brighter with you around. In the mean time, take care of you and come back to us when you can. We'll keep the candles burning for you...
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
OMG DEAR BILL! The same happend to me...we went to a cruise down to the south of America, (where it's similar to Alaska), this is summer time there, we picked up the Celebrity- Infinity cruise ship at Buenos Aires and went around the south until we went up to Santiago. We started the trip Dic. 31st. and came back the 18th. of Jan. I got sick like you with a cold for a whole week and than my husband. We're ok now and I just got into my blog and didn't find you and as I was just going to write you, I went into your blog and found out. I missed you so much, you're the best and your tablescapes are my inspiration. Sooo glad you're back and feeling well. Hope to find your beautiful tables soon.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you and all the best for you.
XOXO FABBY
Bill how nice to see the Eternally Yours Silverplate--1941; my mother got this when she married in 1943. My sister now has it and just got it out to polish it. She took some beautiful photos and sent them to me--just as I am looking at your blog! What a fun coincidence!
